The article states that 83% of enterprises surveyed for a newly published study intend to invest in mobile technology, with the majority of funding being devoted to the purchase of tablets and on employee training.

With regard to BYOD (bring your own device), the article states: “Personal mobile device support is expected to increase significantly, with tablets leading all categories with an increase of 12% from 43% today to 55% in the next 12 to 18 months.”

Among other findings, the article also reports that 82% of organizations surveyed are adapting their policies and IT infrastructure to support the proliferation of personal devices, and that enterprise end users are significantly more likely than their SMB counterparts to adopt cloud-based solutions.
